About me

My Training
Since becoming Doula, I have completed many birth-related workshops and courses, all designed to improve my knowledge and abilities to support you at your birth.
I have also developed a good knowledge of some more pregnancy specific issues such as Gestational Diabetes, Cholestasis, Pre Eclampsia and Strep B as some examples.
I am a Doula UK mentor, supporting new doulas in their new role.
“Sam is warm and caring. She clearly has extensive knowledge relating to pregnancy, birth and parenthood and shares her knowledge appropriately without judgement or pressure. She's very empathic and good at pre empting your needs. She was a brilliant support.”
J & J
I have been a Doula since January 2013 and have supported many parents on their journey into parenthood. Each family is unique and I pride myself on my ability to respond intuitively to what each family needs.
I am a very relaxed person who creates a huge amount of calm which many parents have commented on as it has made such a positive difference to them. My philosophy is very much based around being calm, happy, informed and enjoying your pregnancy and your baby so we look at the varying ways you can achieve this until we find a way that really works for your family.
We all learn new things all the time and I find keeping up to date with relevant evidence based information and practices ensures I am always offering good quality information and support to my clients.
I have a real passion for supporting those who have experienced birth trauma or postnatal depression as this is something I have personal experience with and know how important getting the right support at the right time is.
